WWE Hall of Famer, Hulk’s Year began when he appeared on Netflix Monday Night Raw. He was met with boos by the audience as he promoted Real American Beer. This less-than-enthusiastic reception may foreshadow issues for both Hogan and the WWE-endorsed beverage, as they now face a negligence lawsuit potentially impacting Hulk Hogan’s brand.

The report was published by Tino Bovenzi of FOX 8Michelle Harlukowicz from Akron Ohio has sued Terry Bollea – professionally known as Hulk Hogan – and Real American Beer. Harlukowicz says she suffered a serious head injury when she was struck by a can of Real American Beer that had not been opened at an event to promote the beer. It raises concerns about the safety of events and celebrities’ endorsements.

Eric Tayfel a lawyer for Harlukowicz said, “It is shocking that someone can attend an event at a bar to watch a celebrity, and then end up being injured by a flying beer can.” He highlighted the unforeseeable danger. According to the attorney, this incident is not only a reflection on Real American Beer and Hulk Hogan but also on his promotion of unsafe drinking.
A lawsuit was filed in 2025 on the 10th of February alleging negligence caused injury. It asserts that the can of beer, which had been thrown about 50 feet, injured Harlukowicz’s forehead. The wound required approximately 10 stitches. This raises questions regarding the liability of celebrity product endorsements.
Tayfel described that “the injury caused her to have a significant open wound on the forehead.” The incident caused her to require multiple stitches. She will also likely be permanently scarred as a consequence. As a result of her injuries, the extent has put responsibilities associated with alcohol promotion events in the spotlight.

Harlukowicz, according to the report, was standing at the rear of the venue when the can struck her. She had no time for reaction. The safety protocol for promotional events has been scrutinized in light of this incident. Location of the incident, and distance travelled by the can point to negligence.
Medina Township local police responded to the accident. The incident was not reported to the police because they were unable identify the person who threw it. Lawyers have explored all options in order to hold Real American Beer accountable and its celebrity spokesperson, Hulk Hogan.
In the article, it is stated that Harlukowicz wants compensation for his medical bills, suffering, and mental distress caused by the accident.
Tayfel stressed that “we are first and foremost seeking accountability for the events.” He continues to do beer tours. “It’s important that steps are taken to ensure similar incidents don’t happen to anyone else.” This lawsuit is intended to help prevent future incidents of this nature.
