Brian Konowal was best known for playing Clyde Taylor Sheridan’s award-winning film, Clyde. Yellowstone prequel, 1923Recently shared anecdotes behind the scenes from the set. 1923The Dutton Family’s Struggles, which will debut in Paramount+ 2022 chronicles their struggles with historical challenges such as Prohibition. Harrison Ford plays Jacob Dutton as well as Helen Mirren, who portrays Cara Dutton. Jerome Flynn is famous for Game of ThronesThe role of Banner Creighton is also important. He’s a persistent enemy to the Duttons.
Konowal gave fans an insight into some of the lighter moments that were shared in between takes. He focused on one particularly funny interaction involving Harrison Ford, the legendary singer Jimmy Buffett who died in 2023.
I was sitting next to Harrison, Jerome and Colt Brown who plays my fellow henchman Alec. Konowal recalled that the discussion veered towards music and Jimmy Buffett was mentioned. Harrison mentioned Jimmy’s close friend, but Jerome had never heard of his music.
Jerome was described as an incredible singer by the actor. Harrison and I were surprised, exclaiming, ‘C’mon, you know Jimmy Buffett! Margaritaville!’ Konowal said that Buffett’s famous hit “Margaritaville” was not recognized by the man. “Immediately Harrison and I launched into a somewhat clumsy rendition of ‘Margaritaville’ for Jerome. Jerome, I believe, suggested we stay with acting. We all had a long laugh.

Konowal shared his deepest admiration and respect for Ford, Flynn as well as his own experience of working with these Hollywood icons.
Harrison Ford is the absolute best. The Pennsylvania native stressed that Ford was “the real thing”. Growing up, I saw all his films. Pennsylvania is my home state. The Witness One of my favorites. He loves to work with people and is always happy on set. He is a true pro. “We were filming with temperatures well below freezing and he expertly handled a pony at full speed. He embraced the cowboy’s spirit like a champion.”
Konowal said that he had “learned much” too from Jerome Flynn.
“He’s an amazing actor – so focused and detailed at every level. We went hiking, shared meals and built a strong camaraderie on the set.
The second season is now available. 1923 Season 3 is expected to premiere on the 23rd of February. Fans are excitedly awaiting news.
Sarah Randall Hunt (Ellie Creighton) also appeared in the interview. 1923Sarah said she couldn’t imagine how to surpass the season 2 finale, calling it satisfying and perfect. Sarah also said she was certain that adventures of the Duttons were far from being over. She is eager to find out what story lines Taylor Sheridan has planned for them in the fight to save their Montana ranch.
