Alec Baldwin, known for his sharp wit and outspoken views, particularly his past portrayal of Donald Trump on *Saturday Night Live*, recently encountered an unsettling incident outside his New York City residence. Jason Scoop was dressed up as former President Trump by a right-wing comic.
Scoop (31), wearing a wig with a matching suit, mimicking 78-year old Trump, approached Baldwin (66), as he was unloading baggage from a vehicle. Alec Baldwin, who referred to him as his “favorite” president, was approached by Scoop. He was wearing a wig and a suit that mimicked the Trump look. Baldwin accepted.

This remark was a clear reference to the tragic accident on the set of the movie *Rust*, where a prop gun held by Baldwin discharged, resulting in the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. In spite of the scrutiny that Baldwin received, he has never been charged with murder. The New Mexico State Court dismissed a case against him in October 20, 2024. The legal proceedings surrounding the *Rust* shooting continue to be a sensitive subject.
Baldwin at first tried to ignore Scoop’s constant claims about Hutchins’ death. Baldwin confronted him, and pointed out that there was a camera, as well as expressing concern for the children residing in the building. “Do you realise my children reside in this building?” He asked. Baldwin has eight kids, including his oldest daughter Ireland Baldwin who is from his prior marriage to Kim Basinger.
Although Scoop responded with “We love the children,” Baldwin directly addressed the comedian’s behavior, stating, “If this camera wasn’t here, I’d snap your f***ing neck in half and break your f***ing neck. Do you realize this, or not? “The actor then proceeded to his apartment building.
The Trump impersonator was not deterred and continued to shout Baldwin’s last name. This led to another fight. Baldwin demanded: “I need you to leave here.” As the mockery persisted, Baldwin’s frustration grew, leading him to declare, “I’ll take that camera and shove it up your a**,” before finally walking away.
This incident sheds light on the ongoing emotional toll the *Rust* tragedy has had on Alec Baldwin. He recently revealed on his new TLC show, *The Baldwins*, that he has been diagnosed with PTSD following the events of the *Rust* shooting. The show, *The Baldwins*, offers a glimpse into his personal life and the challenges he faces.
