An owner worried about his dog’s mischief installed a cam for him to keep an eye on Bearson while he was gone. Gelano Tiámo, from the Netherlands, and his partner, wanted to get a golden retriever, doing due dilligence. In the year 2000, we began to research breeders. “We found the right breeder in Italy. A few months later, we acquired Bearson.”
Tiámo shares a close relationship with Bearson, stating, “He loves to get cozy with mommy and daddy. He loves to run with his dad, and he also enjoys learning new skills if he can get treats. Bearson can now run up to 12km. Their relationship extends beyond regular runs.
The first time he ran was 5 kilometers. His longest run now is 12 km! Tiámo said.
Bearson is no different from most other dogs. To keep an eye on him, Tiámo set up a pet cam. “We installed the camera because sometimes there were unexplained things happening when we got back, or he just directly did something naughty when we weren’t home,” Tiámo explained. The camera was installed to check if Bearson had done anything adorable by himself.
One evening, upon returning home, Tiámo noticed an unusual amount of dog hair on one of the chairs but not the other, prompting him to review the pet cam footage. He was moved by what he saw.
“One night we got home and one of the chairs was full of hairs… and the other one wasn’t,” Tiámo said.
Bearson was not causing any trouble, as the footage showed. He was just curling comfortably up in his chair while the owner was away. “When we checked we saw him a few moments earlier curling up in the chair trying to be comfy while we were away,” Tiámo recalled.
Bearson’s quiet behavior suggests he was longing for Tiámo’s return, further emphasizing the strong emotional connection between dogs and their owners. Bearson Berry, Bearson’s TikTok Channel, shared this heartwarming moment. It has received over 2.4 millions views.
“It was the cutest thing and we were surprised that he didn’t do something naughty, but just behaved like the best boy,” Tiámo said.
