They also have two adorable dogs named Moose & Poppy. Katie, who is expecting another child, documents the chaos and joy of parenting children, pets, and sharing the adorable interactions between them with her online audience.
Video of Poppy, a Chocolate Labrador, performing a “zoomie” is now incredibly popular. The clip was posted originally on the TikTok @mooseandpoppy account. Poppy, however, did not run around like other dogs who zoomies. Instead, she slowed down to make sure Charlie was safe.

Charlie was unable to contain his laughter as he watched Poppy playfully twirl around. He is shown in the video giggling uncontrollably as Poppy spins around, pauses briefly to yawn and shake her hair before continuing on with another dash. Charlie laughed even when Poppy accidentally knocked Charlie to the ground. Instead, he sat down on his floor and continued watching Poppy.
Labrador Retrievers are one of America’s top dog breeds. Labs, praised for their outgoing, friendly nature and gentle temperament are often considered exceptional family pets. American Kennel Club reports that Labrador Retrievers are known to form close bonds with kids, which makes them ideal for family pets.
TikTok commenters flooded the section of comments with praise for the lovely relationship between the boy and canine. One user commented, “I will go on the limb and say that they love eachother. “Besties for life!” Poppy was also the subject of a playful comment about her restrained energy. A user joked, “It’s as if he knows that he needs to be gentle, so he is doing his zoomies while using the parking brake.” Other users referred to her energetic levels as “lowercase Zoomies” or even “zoomies with child lock”.
Another user summed it up perfectly: “Zoomies induce laughter, laughter induce zoomies.”
Katie Pike who shares her content also on Instagram expressed gratitude to the community which has developed around her since she started documenting her daily life with Moose & Poppy in 2018. Her adorable puppy photos and videos never reached such a large audience. Her content now includes the reality of having a toddler, Charlie, and another child on the way.
“People have a strong connection with Moose, Poppy and comment on them or leave messages saying how much they make them smile and remind them of their dogs,” said she. It has been an enjoyable and positive experience, and I am so glad to be able to bring smiles.
