Following Daytona were Tyler Reddick and Jimmie Johnson. Chase Briscoe was also in the top five. John Hunter Nemechek followed Byron. Legacy Motor Club owned by Johnson had a very successful weekend with three of its cars finishing 12th and better.
Ryan Blaney accumulated the highest number of points in this race, 48, despite William Byron winning the Daytona 500. Blaney is one point in front of Byron after incorporating the points earned in the Duels. Austin Cindric and Alex Bowman round out the five top contenders for the NASCAR Cup Series championship.
In the Atlanta Motor Speedway race last year, Daniel Suarez won the spring race, and Joey Logano took the win in the fall. In the February 2024 race, Penske Ford had a good showing. Blaney finished second and Cindric was fourth. This race also saw multiple incidents that resulted in 10 cautions flags, and 8 drivers not finishing the race.
