Widespread delays in flights and the cancellation of flights are likely to occur as soon as this Wednesday, at airports serving Washington D.C. metro area, Baltimore region, Richmond and Norfolk. It is important that travelers closely monitor flight information and communications from airlines.
- Icy conditions and Power Outages: The forecasters warn of widespread power outages and ice in parts of North Carolina. Residents need to be prepared for prolonged power interruptions.
- Even in the far northern regions of New England and the Mid-Atlantic, light snowfall is possible. Residents should be alert to the possibility of slippery conditions, even if accumulations are less.
