Elon and Vivek are expected to implement improvements in the efficiency of federal bureaucracy. This will improve life for Americans.
The White House clarified, however, that Elon Musk doesn’t hold an official position at DOGE.
Joshua Fisher, the Director of White House Office of Administration (WHOA), confirmed in a filing to a federal court that Elon Musk is not the leader of DOGE, and he’s not considered an employee of this organization.
What role does Elon Musk play in the White House today?
Elon Musk, who is not an employee of DOGE but acts as a consultant to the President Trump, does so despite his lack of official employment.
Elon Musk said, during a joint White House appearance, that “the American people voted for governmental reform and they are going to get it.” They will receive what they voted for – a more efficient government focused on creating technologies for a better future for humanity.”
Tanya Chutkan, a judge in New York City presided Monday over an inquiry into a suit filed by fourteen state governments to determine the scope of Elon Musk’s influence on the federal level. These states—New Mexico, Arizona, Michigan, California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nevada, Oregon, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Washington—seek to restrict what they allege are overreaching activities by DOGE.
Judge Chutkan voiced reservations regarding the issue of issuing a broad injunction against Elon Musk, DOGE and their alleged firing of thousands of federal workers. She did, however, indicate that she intended to make a decision within 24 hours after Monday’s hearing.
