The LIV Golf Invitational Series 2025 continues this week in Adelaide after an exhilarating inaugural event held in Riyadh. Adrian Meronk from Cleeks G.C. won last week’s individual championship with a 17-under-par score, beating Jon Rahm & Sebastian Munoz by a narrow margin.
Rahm had good reason to rejoice, as his Legion XIII team dominated in the Riyadh team competition. Legion XIII secured the title by winning with an outstanding 50-under-par. This was an 11-shot victory over Ripper GC & RangeGoats GC. Cleeks GC, a team from Meronk, finished sixth.
Adelaide is the next stop for LIV’s golfers, who are looking to establish early season momentum in one of golf’s most important stops.

Adelaide: A look back at 2024
Brendan Steele won the Adelaide team championship last year with an 18-under par, beating Louis Oosthuizen’s score by one stroke. Brendan Steele will try to recreate his winning form this year after he finished tied for 30th place in Riyadh. Oosthuizen finished at T-25 in Riyadh just one spot ahead of Steele. He is hoping to have a good performance this week.
In 2025, the LIV season is likely to feature some key players.
Jon Rahm wants to keep up his good start following a strong performance at the LIV Golf first event, where he finished second as an individual and won with his team. Joaquin Niemann and Sergio Garcia are also players worth watching. They all finished well in the last season’s point standings. Talor Johnson and Dustin Gooch are both always contenders.
In the past, Ripper GC and 4Aces GC were dominant teams, winning team titles.
