When the engines start to roar for the Daytona 500 in 2025, one big question will be on everyone’s mind: Will Donald Trump, the former US President attend NASCAR’s crowning event? Bubba Wallace is a well-known NASCAR Cup Series racer who has expressed his opinion on the possibility of political involvement in the middle of the racing action.
Bubba Wallace, in a recent interview, said he was primarily focused only on the race. He added, “Couldn’t give a damn if Trump showed up at NASCAR’s biggest race of year. Our main goal is to race. “Not for the show.” The driver is clearly focused on competing, ignoring any distractions that could be caused by politics or possible celebrity attendance at a sporting event such as the Daytona 500.

Talladega Incident of 2020: Background
Bubba Wallace’s relationship with Donald Trump was previously strained. This stems from an incident that occurred at Talladega Superspeedway in 2020. The FBI began an investigation after finding a noose hanging in Wallace’s garage. Trump’s social media comments, calling it a “HOAX”, despite concluding that the noose has been there since fall of the year before and not as a result of a specific hate crime, have exacerbated the controversy. Wallace’s response was a message for love and strength, which highlighted the support that he had received from NASCAR.
Trump is the grand marshal of the Daytona 500 in 2020. His famous order, “Gentlemen start your engines!” was given. Before taking a lap around the Presidential limousine to show his support and appreciation for NASCAR, he gave this famous command: “Gentlemen, start your engines!”
NASCAR, despite reports that suggest the former US President could attend this year’s Daytona 500, has yet to officially confirm Trump’s participation.
START ENGINES : @NicoleSganga @kristincbrown Multiple people confirm that Donald Trump will be at the Daytona 500 this Sunday, 16th February. It’s possible we could “see the Beast doing a few circuits.”
Trump had been there before in 2020.
